It was an exciting time for Jannet Nguyen and her
husband-to-be, Tuan Pham. Originally from Viet Nam,
they now live in Tampa with their 2- year-old
daughter, Jordan. They were on-board the Destiny,
one of Carnival Cruise Line’s most beautiful ships.
The ship was scheduled to stop in Key West for
the day on Friday, July 23— and Jannet and Tuan had
arranged to be married on the beach that morning.
The wedding was indeed going to be special. They
had contacted wedding planner Laurine Laxer, of
FantaSea Weddings, weeks earlier and she had
arranged for chairs with plush velvet covers, a
flowered arch, a bouquet of white roses for the
bride and a boutonniere for the groom.
Everything had been perfect on the cruise— until
Thursday, the day before the wedding.Over the ship’s
loudspeaker system, Jannet heard the chilling news—
the Destiny’s itinerary had been changed to avoid
Tropical Storm Bonnie.
“I received a call from Jannet Thursday evening,”
Laurine said. “She was in tears, absolutely paniced.
Was there any way that the wedding could be
re-scheduled from Friday to Sunday afternoon. I am
sure that she expected a ‘no’ answer.
“So, I lied. I told her that it would be
absolutely no problem— although I knew that there
would be absolutely lots of problems. Among other
things, we would have to reschedule the photographer
and the delivery of the flowers . And I would have
to change the dates on the marriage documents. (What
else?)
“But we managed to make it happen,” Laurine said.
“And when Sunday dawned, the weather was fine,
although a little overcast. We set up the flowered
arch and plush velvet chairs for family members who
had also made the trip.”
Jannet was beautiful as she walked down the
aisle, hand-inhand with little Jordan— spent the
remainder of the ceremony in the arms of her father.
The vows were exchanged and the photos taken.
After all that had been overcome, the day still
turned out to be the stuff dreams are made of.

Lobster – marvelous food – we can still taste it. We got soup, crab cake
and tuna – We could hear the birds singing.

We are now back in cold Denmark but memories will

Our sunset sail on the Schooner was breathtaking. Ana, our
Officiant, performed a touching and personal ceremony. Dawn, our
photographer, was awesome. We have many beautiful pictures to
remember our special day.
All the arrangements, which were made by
e-mail and telephone, were handled
with great enthusiasm and impeccable
timing. We could not have asked or dreamed for a better experience,
and would gladly do it all again. It was so
easy!
We can't wait to come back to Key West

ladies single handedly made our day the best event ever, and in record time
I might add. Everything was perfect and the spontaneity of it all was the
absolute
best touch to a perfect day. Flowers, photographer, notary, dress,
witnesses, and transportation in about three hours. No one else could have
pulled it off, and more importantly, I don't believe anyone would have tried.
Everyone went extremely out of their way to meet our requests, and you did
this with such poise and enthusiasm that we felt really cared for as patrons.
We had visited other services on Key West, but no other service came close
to the excitement, creativity, or enthusiasm shown to us by FantaSea Weddings.

got married on a beach in Key West, and it was the most amazing time in
our lives. We planned it over e-mail and on the phone and everything was
perfect. I have to say my husband and I had some doubts arranging our

I
just wanted to take a moment to say "Thank You,"
for everything. Jenn and I
had the most wonderful time. The cottage was
great, so relaxing and everything, and only a half block from Duval Street.
We could even hear the music from
Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville at night
sitting around the pool.
We appreciate everything you did for us, from the decorations on the boat
to making the reservations for dinner and everything. It was so relaxing
for us, we didn't have to worry about anything, all we had to do was enjoy
ourselves. That is just the way it should have been.
I
have been at some of my friends' weddings and it was so rushed, plus they
had
to worry about every little detail. Did the caterer get the right
number of dinners?
Did the reservations get confirmed? Am I standing in
the right spot? Am I walking correctly down the aisle? What a ridiculous
amount of work, and stress.
Everything
went so smoothly. All we had to do was show up. You did such a great job. We were so pleased with the outcome, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. Just
the way the biggest day in your life should have been. Ours was great. Everyone
commented how wonderful it was, and I got the credit for one of the
most romantic
weddings anyone had ever been at.
Like
I said everything was wonderful, and the Steel drums playing on the boat was
a great touch. It just went along so well with such a tropical relaxing theme,
every little detail was attended to even down to one of the most delicious
wedding cakes
I have ever had. Jenn and I wanted to make sure you knew how
happy we were
with everything, and how enjoyable you guys made the most important
day in our lives.
Please
tell the notary, her ceremony was wonderful, it of course broke my grandmother,
mother and Jenn into tears, the way weddings sometimes do, but everyone commented
how wonderful it was, especially the roses and the way she intertwined them
with our lives, and to make a special place in our home for roses.
I thought
the lyrics from the Apache wedding ceremony she put in was great, since
I
am about 50% Indian (Cherokee/Blackfoot). Once again, I got the credit for
being the most romantic guy around because of her rose ceremony.
Jenn's
mother owns a chocolate factory and does floral arrangements, and she
couldn't quit commenting on how wonderful the flowers and especially the
bouquet were. We thought so too, it really was just beautiful with the
orchids mixed in, and the hint of colors, red and lavender.
Overall
it was just great and even the weather cooperated so nicely, with the wind
dying down and a really nice sunset sinking into the ocean, the water was
so calm and clear. When we were on our way back in after the sunset and the
island was all lit up it just looked like a dream. We can¹t wait to see the
pictures and video that the professional photographers took.
Once
again, we were so happy with everything, and we would like to Thank You all,
you did such a wonderful job. Thanks for the most memorable day of our lives,
we have so many wonderful memories to look back on now. We also would like
to
come back and rent out the cottage again in the future. We had such a great
time.

Yes!
we have arrived home 100% safe and most important 200% satisfied. All our
family and our friends have been completely surprised with our wedding
and very important, they are all very happy for us even our parents. In the
first place, our parents have been a little bit disappointed, (that we left the
Netherlands to get married in Key West) but after they have seen our pictures
and saw how beautiful
it was and how happy we are, they have completely
changed their minds and are now also very happy for us. When we arrived at Schiphol (Amsterdam) Airport,
there was a complete
welcome committee to surprise us and to congratulate us
with our wedding. We have already received more then 100 congratulations cards and a lot of
flowers and other surprises. As you see, we didn't receive one
negative reaction and most of the people found our way of wedding very
romantic and something alternative instead of the standard and very
traditional way of marriage that we normally are used to in the Netherlands.
Maybe you get more people from the Netherlands in the future. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again and the
wedding has been very successful thanks to you and
you're colleagues
(but especially your) organization and service. Again thanks from me, Marcha and my family for the beautiful wedding and
we are now already thinking to celebrate our 5 year anniversary in Key West.
Then we will see each
